At Highland Country Club's Professional Shop, our team is at the heart of the member experience. From the first greeting in the Professional Shop to the final putt of the day, every staff member plays an important role in delivering the high standard of service our club is known for.

Working at Highland offers a unique opportunity to be part of one of London’s premier private clubs, surrounded by a passionate golf community and a supportive team environment.

Our Professional Shop is led by Head Golf Professional Rick Pero, alongside Assistant Golf Professionals Scott Loosley and Chris Snoeks, who provide leadership, mentorship, and expertise across all areas of the golf operation.

Front Shop Attendants

Front Shop Attendants are the first point of contact for members and guests in the Professional Shop.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greeting members and guests in a friendly, professional manner
  • Managing tee time check-ins and bookings
  • Processing retail sales and handling transactions
  • Assisting with merchandise displays and inventory organization
  • Coordinating cart rentals and daily play operations
  • Answering phone calls and responding to inquiries
  • Supporting tournament and event operations as needed

Back Shop Attendants

Back Shop Attendants ensure a seamless on-course experience by managing golf operations behind the scenes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cleaning and staging golf carts for daily use
  • Greeting players upon arrival and assisting with golf bags
  • Managing bag storage and club handling with care
  • Maintaining practice facilities, including the driving range
  • Picking and cleaning range balls
  • Ensuring staging areas are organized and fully stocked
  • Assisting with setup and teardown for events and tournaments

Starters

Starters play a key role in maintaining pace of play and ensuring a smooth first tee experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating tee time flow and calling groups to the first tee
  • Verifying player information and tee sheet accuracy
  • Communicating course expectations, rules, and pace of play guidelines
  • Providing a warm and professional welcome to members and guests
  • Monitoring tee timing and working closely with Professional Shop staff
  • Assisting with overall course operations as needed
